[GSOC 2016] Jenkin website - Search Implementation

Hi,

After discussion in Office hours with Mr. R. Tyler and Mr. Oleg Nanashev, I decided it would be better to propose something that will provide prompt benefit to the community. Ability to search something on the new website would be crucial for providing user with fast access to information. The site currently contains blogs, documentations and use cases which are searchable. It would be great if a mentor could guide me whether it would be a good idea to pursue?

Optional:- Make the Wiki search results appear in the website search results.

Technical Implementation Details:-

Index the content from the files structure. For the search engine I plan on integrating ElasticSearch or Apache Solr. I'll have to take a closer look at both of them and see which one would be ideal.

I've got the site built and running on my dev environment, so I can start fixing bugs and making changes as soon as possible.

Yes, such project would be definitely interesting and useful to the community.
Would be nice to see a proposal draft. Then we would be able to review it and make some suggestions.
