ez-templates: Can a inheriting job override the build steps?

Hi,

My build has 10 build steps (Execute shell script ) out of which i want to keep the first 4 in a template (in section "Build -execute shell " ) as they are common for most of my builds and the remaining 6 in the implementing job itself in the Build section "Execute Shell".

But I noticed whenever i save the implementing job, its steps are overwritten by that of template. Is there a way to get around this while still using template for the common steps?
