project ID/number in job configuration

Hello,

I  need to identify for each  job the associated project. that's why I was thinking to create a plugin which should allow the users to insert  the project number/id in the jenkins jobs configuration.

I just want to check if there is a similar request, or any other idea

I've used project name or display name for that in the past.

Thank you Daniel for the suggestion.

This might be modified by users, we can not "force" the users to not modify the project name. I was also thinking to add the Project ID in the project description section, but this is also something that might be modified.
