At the beginning I would just write that "Jenkins is the most popular automation engine in the world. It's being widely used for CI, CD and other automation methodologies in many ares (not only software development)".
>
h1.Who is using it?I would propose to mention that Jenkins project automation is also being driven by Jenkins. In such case you could add links to our two CI instances with "state-of-the-art" setups.
# *Easy installation*:
I would also note that there are several Jenkins-as-a-service providers including ones, which provide a free hosting for OSS products
Other proposals:
- Add big OSS community to the advantages
- Add a section for the case studies (Case studies and best practices). They are not really related to installations
- Add links to the "Plugins" page in features
- Look for new introductory materials. The existing ones are outdated a bit
- Remove "Jenkins Best Practices" (the header is copy-pasted from the referenced page and does not provide much value). Just move the link to the "Case studies and best practices" sections
- In the license section mention that Jenkins plugins may be licensed under other licenses
If you agree, I could add some minor stuff from the list above on my own.
