ANN: New Gitter channel for newcomer contributors

Hi all,

I am working on updating the https://jenkins.io/participate/ page. As a part of this effort, I have created a new Gitter channel for newcomer contributors: https://gitter.im/jenkinsci/newcomer-contributors . This channel has been discussed multiple times in the Advocacy and Outreach SIG, and I hope it will be helpful to the developer community.

The plan for this channel is to answer simple questions from newcomers and to redirect them to proper channels (Dev list, SIGs, sub-projects) for more complex ones. If anyone wants to help with maintaining this Q&A channel, please feel free to join it. Any help will be much appreciated!
