It's not a part of his work at CloudBees even if it provides some added value. I definitely agree that SVN plugin is not a best plugin to start from because of the huge technical debt in this plugin. I really doubt that the plugin can be returned to a healthy state without serious efforts from multiple contributors.I think that we should honor Manuel's readiness to start working on this direction. If there is no other candidates willing to maintain the plugin (Hello to jenkinsci/core), I suppose we should agree with the ownership and help Manuel with his ramp-up.It should be enough to ask them to grant/bless you permissions.I disagree, because there is no official maintainer of the plugin. So it was a right approach to send the e-mail to the developers list.
