I would like to be maintainer for this plugin and take the ownership so as to merge the pull requests to master branch. Below are my details. Kindly guide me with the steps to follow, if any, in this regard.

Thanks very much for being willing to adopt the plugin.  Since the README states that the plugin is up for adoption, the adoption process should be able to proceed without the usual two week waiting period.

In case you're interested in steps that can make plugin maintenance easier and more effective, there is a workshop Google Doc from DevOps World 2021 and a series of five videos that illustrate steps that can modernize a Jenkins plugin and reduce the ongoing effort for plugin maintainers.  The five videos are:

• Part 1 - Choosing your plugin, update the parent pom, update Jenkins base version

• Part 2 - Spotbugs, incremental builds, dependency updates, and release drafter

• Part 3 - Migrate docs to GitHub, add a “report an issue” link, interactive testing

• Part 4 - Enable continuous delivery, plugin bill of materials

• Part 5 - Topics and labels on repositories, resolving security scan reports

Can anybody guide me in this regard? It has been almost two weeks. Do I need to do anything else to be an Owner for this plugin?

As far as I can tell, you have been a maintainer of the accurev plugin since https://github.com/jenkins-infra/repository-permissions-updater/pull/2139 was merged.  

Can you confirm that you're allowed to merge pull requests to the GitHub repository https://github.com/jenkinsci/accurev-plugin ?

You said you couldn't merge, now you can merge right? so I think its good. The link mark provided gives you access to do releases. I can't think of anything else.

It is in that context that I believe that it would be great if we could we discuss your experience by mail of even is a short call (if time zones are favorable). I'd like to know things, among others, like:

• was the adoption successful?
• what were the friction points? 
• Did you get (or needed) help? In what form? 
• what were your motives for adoption?
• what is your previous experience as Jenkins/OSS contributor and in java dev?
