You can also assist the Jenkins project in other ways.  Refer to https://jenkins.io/blog/2017/08/23/pull-requests-and-more/ for other ideas.

As specific examples, here are some pull requests to the git plugin which could use additional help evaluating them:

• PR 575 - Resolve CloneOption environment variables
• PR 565 - Use Java 8, Jenkins 2.60.3, and git client 3.0.0
• PR 552 - Allow ChangeLog based on a specific revision
