This plugin doesn't seem to be abandoned. There was recent commits. You don't seem to have open pending PRs. So I'm not sure how you think you should take over.

If you want to contribute, which is awesome. Can't you just submit PRs?

At a minimum, it's a high profile plugin so I'd like to see PRs before write access is granted..

But since the maintainer is still involved it's entirely to the maintainer.

The plugin is not abandoned, but it was explicitly put for adoption by the maintainer 9 days ago:

So this is a legitimate request

Hey,

I'm the current maintainer of this plugin. Due to changed prios at my job I won't have time to actively maintain the plugin anymore.
So I'd be glad if someone is willing to take over the main maintainer role.

I'm happy to check from time to time some PRs / give feedback but can't guarantee any of these things is done on time.
