Hi There,
This is Subham Goyal, a third year Undergraduate at Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. I am willing to apply for GSOC this year, i am quite interested in your proposal and would love to be a part of the Jenkins Web Interface Page Improvements . Also i have completed courses on Full stack development of website on Coursera. I would like to get started with your work and thus want to know what you want to see done at the end.

I Know the following languages:
  • HTML                                                                 ( Advance level )
  • CSS                                                                   ( Advance level )
  • JAVASCRIPT as well as jQUERY framework         ( Advance level )
  • Python                                                             ( Intermediate level )
  • PHP                                                                 ( Intermediate level )
  • JAVA                                                                  ( Beginner level )
  • C                                                                      ( Intermediate level )

I have used material.angularjs to developed a website. Also I have a good experience in node.js. Now a days I am developing a portal using django.

Looking to discuss the project with you. In anticipation of a prompt and early reply.

Thank you

Hi Subham,

Thanks for contacting us!
Let's wait for a feedback from the potential mentors.

Do you have some experience with Jenkins? If yes, it would be great to know about your vision of the potential Web UI improvements area.

If no, maybe makes sense to start from trying Jenkins for one of your projects.  For example, for Django there is a stabndalone project (django-jenkins). From what I see this project utilizes common Jenkins Web UIs, so you could try it.

Best regards,
Oleg Nenashev
