There has been some minor confusion. To be accepted into google summer of code, you need to have your submission on the website: https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com

please do this ASAP. Note that the submission is more of a "cover letter" that can link to the google doc with the real contents of your proposal (which can be refined even after submission).

Once this is done, hopefully there will be less email traffic on this list - so for those tired of seeing these emails - rejoice! things will soon be off this list!
