Plugin adoption request: build-user-vars-plugin

Hello,

I would like to adopt the build-user-vars-plugin. (marked as adoption).

The short term goal is to release a new version with some of the pull requests that have been pending for some time.

Hi Fabio,

It looks like the Build User Vars 1.6 release went wrong, the release bits are missing in Artifactory: https://repo.jenkins-ci.org/webapp/#/artifacts/browse/tree/General/releases/org/jenkins-ci/plugins/build-user-vars-plugin

As far as I can tell, you forgot to update https://github.com/jenkins-infra/repository-permissions-updater/blob/master/permissions/plugin-build-user-vars-plugin.yml before the release, and hence your artifact uploads were rejected. It would be great if you could fix the file and to retry the release. IMHO it is OK to burn 1.6 and to release 1.7 instead to save time.

Hi Oleg,

I was analyzing the issue in the release process and I realized that there was a missing formatting in the javadoc that prevented me from uploading the new version of the plugin.

Note that the file https://github.com/jenkins-infra/repository-permissions-updater/blob/master/permissions/plugin-build-user-vars-plugin.yml is already updated. (my user is zedasvacas)

The http is kinda a give away. That's a really old deployment url.

Since I don't see you defined it anywhere i would update the base pom to something modern.

Looks like 4.4 is latest. https://github.com/jenkinsci/plugin-pom/releases

From my experience you need to also set a jenkins.version property for something resembling modern. 2.200 or later probably
