Deploying to Jenkins Artifactory

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to upload a new version p4java.jar to the Jenkins Artifactory http://repo.jenkins-ci.org/

However, I get the following error:

• Cannot deploy file 'p4java-2014.1.965322.jar'. The repository 'snapshots' rejected the artifact 'snapshots:com/perforce/p4java/2014.1.965322/p4java-2014.1.965322.jar' due to its snapshot/release handling policy.

Anyone know about a change to the policy?

(also seems that the website's https TLS/cert is missing/out of date)

Hi,

as mentioned in the error message, you are trying to deploy a release artifact to a snapshot repository. You should check the repository url that you use, and make sure the repository url is correct (http://repo.jenkins-ci.org/releases/)

Thanks, I had completely forgotten to look at the version string and add -SNAPSHOT (its an ugly manual process I do once a year).
