As the description for the plugin says here
https://gerrit-review.googlesource.com/admin/projects/plugins/events
“The events plugin adds a stream events API which parallels the core stream events API with extensions to resume events on reconnect. Each event is stored in a separate file in a traditional filesystem. This plugin is multi-master friendly when the filesystem is shared among the masters.”
I demoed this plugin running with a multi-master setup during the October 2017 Gerrit User Summit (also in London). You can view the talk here:
https://gitenterprise.me/2017/12/18/gerrit-user-summit-multimaster-at-qualcomm/
Internally, we have been running this plugin with our version of Gerrit (2.7 based) in production since early this spring, and with a multi-master setup since the October 2017 summit. This plugin is a critical piece making our multi-master setup seamless to users.
I hope this message might inspire others to download and try the plugin out. Feeback and questions are very welcome of course!
Thanks,
-Martin
