Request help publishing ansible-tower-plugin 0.18.0 / maintainer unavailable

Hi Jenkins developers,

I am requesting help with the ansible-tower-plugin release.

Timeline:
- 2025-03-13: JENKINS-75426 was created for Ansible Tower Plugin incompatibility with AAP 2.5. The reported environment was Jenkins 2.492.1, Ansible Tower Plugin 0.17.0, and Ansible Automation Platform 2.5.
- 2026-06-12: I opened PR #35 to add AAP 2.5+/2.6 controller compatibility:

- 2026-06-15: I requested maintainer review/merge on PR #35.
- 2026-06-16: @micr0zz asked for testing evidence.
- 2026-06-17: I provided testing evidence for both legacy Tower/AWX and AAP 2.6.
- 2026-06-17: PR #35 was merged into jenkinsci:master.
- 2026-06-18: I asked about the next plugin release because our production rollout is blocked and custom HPI installation is not permitted.
- 2026-06-23: GitHub release `ansible-tower-0.18.0` was created and includes PR #35:

- 2026-06-24: PR #36 was opened to update the pom.xml metadata for the 0.18.0 release:

- 2026-06-26: I commented on PR #36 explaining that Jenkins Update Center / plugin catalog still shows 0.17.0 and our production rollout remains blocked.
- 2026-07-01: There has still been no maintainer response, and the plugin site still shows 0.17.0:

Could someone from the Jenkins project help with the correct release path here?

If the existing `ansible-tower-0.18.0` GitHub tag cannot be used for publishing to the Jenkins Maven repository, publishing a follow-up `0.18.1` release would also solve the issue.

If the current maintainers are unavailable, I am willing to help maintain/release this plugin so the already merged compatibility fix can reach users.

Hi Long,

I would suggest you follow the steps outlined in https://www.jenkins.io/doc/developer/plugin-governance/adopt-a-plugin/ to formally adopt the plugin, due to the plugin appearing to have been abandoned. This will initiate some investigation and help fast track your case. 

Hope you will be able to publish a new release of the concerned plugin soon.
