We're starting to gear up for the Google Summer of Code 2017, yay!
We need more mentors and even a few more org admins to help run the Jenkins
project's involvement with Summer of Code successfully. More importantly, we
need mentors and org admins who can _consistently_ commit time.
Rough estimates for mentorship I would place between 5-15 hours per week,
depending on the student and project.
Org admins should expect at least 5 hours per week to help coordinate where
necessary, with some additional work during "crunch times" such as during the
application process, mid terms, and final evaluations.
In exchange for your participation, you will have the opportunity to shape the
next generations of open source hackers (yay) and may be asked to join the
Google Mentors Summit after the program in Mountain View (Google covers those
expenses).
If you're interested in mentoring a student and/or helping drive GSoC on behalf
ot the Jenkins project, please ping me off list
Cheers
