GSOC 2018 [Student Introduction] Discard Builds Step Plugin

Hello Everyone 

I am Harisu Fanyui a 4th year computer engineering student from cameroon faculty of engineering and technology.

I have been programming in java for 2 years.  I have read the project descriptions and  am interested in working on the project titled Discard Build Step plugin. i have also programmed 

in languages like php, javascript, and c. I after reading the full description of the project am trying to look at the way the Discard Old Builds feature works so as to properly understand. will appreciate if there are some pointers or documents related to this project

Hello Harisu,

The documentation we have is on the project idea page which links to a google document where you can find more details on the discard build step plugin proposal. To repeat what Oleg has said in another thread, students have the freedom to adjust these ideas to their vision and interests. Once you have gone through the materials, let us know what you think. Feel free to ask more questions too. You can also prepare an application in the form of a google document and share it with the community. We have office hours on Wednesday where mentors and students are invited to meet and talk live on the hangout (see https://jenkins.io/projects/gsoc/#office-hours).
