Hi everyone,

I set up the HOSTING project in JIRA for plugin hosting requests and processing them:
https://issues.jenkins-ci.org/browse/HOSTING

I adjusted the documentation accordingly:
https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/Hosting+Plugins#HostingPlugins-Requesthosting

IMPORTANT: All existing hosting requests on this list will be handled here -- there's no need to file an issue in Jira.

Some actions (e.g. resolving requests) are restricted to prevent mishandling, please let me know if you want to be able to do that. Voice on IRC for bot control required.

We did not agree in the project meeting (Oct 14) on whether we want an issue creation notification to be sent to the dev list, so this hasn't been set up.

+1 I think this improves the process a lot and cleans up the developers mailing list too

Great! Thanks Daniel.

Is there a way to be notified somewhere of new JIRAs/modifs in that project?

I read on Atlassian answers that a group can be created an ppl be added. But said people cannot add themselves :-/

Not really. I configured the project so every 'approver' gets notified, but right now we have nothing for others.

FWIW I set up a dashboard widget so I always see unresolved issues from that project on the Jira home page.

Otherwise, you could subscribe to a filter. Just create a filter for unresolved issues filed in the last 48 hours that you aren't watching. It's not as good as actual notifications, but it should get the job done.

We can probably set up a new Google group, or just reuse jenkinsci-issues if there's actually demand for this.

No. Another ML is required from the filtering POV.
Currently I'm adjusting the IRC Bot to support the new process.
