https://docs.jbase.com/46350-jql/edelete
EDELETE in summary is the combination of SELECT and DELETE. So, rather than
SELECT CUSTOMER WITH CITY = “TAMPA”
DELETE CUSTOMER
You can do it all in one statement
EDELETE CUSTOMER WITH CITY = “TAMPA”

Subject: EDELETE VS DELETE
Hi, all! Can anyone please tell me the difference between EDELETE and DELETE, and whether one is preferred over the other? I used EDELETE yesterday to remove a record. I forgot the quotes and removed the whole file. Trying to do some research to see if there's a safer way to delete things, but jBASE documentation is not so good.
