Hey gang, 


Hope you're all doing well these days! Sorry we've been a little quiet for the last couple of days, but it turns out both Tyson and I were on holidays and we both forgot to tell each other haha. 

I see your article Graeme and I will get it ready for the morning here (and thanks as always!). As Tyson always says, we're happy to provide ideas if you're looking to write and looking for a few suggestions. There is a lot going on these days, and with the All-Star break and trade deadline coming up over the next month, don't be shy. The trade season in particular is usually one of the best times of the year as far as hits on our site, so don't miss a great chance to get a bunch of eyes on your work.

Afternoon Everyone,

Out to a bit of a slow start to July at just 14 articles, which is behind the trend for our goal to the 100 article mark. This is a great month considering there are so many things going on like the MLB Draft, All-Star Game, and Trade Deadline on August 2nd. Let's pick up the pace and put out some great content.

Here are some ideas! Please note, if you claim an idea, it would be best to get it in within the next 1-3 days just because of how busy this month can be.

1. Three to five players the Blue Jays should consider drafting with their 23rd overall pick
2. First time in history the Blue Jays have drafted at #23. Look at some picks around that area for comparison
3. Looking at the Blue Jays last five first-round picks and how they turned out
4. Players the Blue Jays should avoid trading for
5. Players you wish the Blue Jays would trade for and what a trade package may look like
6. Castillo or Montas: which one and why for the Blue Jays?
7. Pitchers you wish the Blue Jays signed this past offseason instead of Kikuchi
8. Players you are glad the Blue Jays did not sign this past offseason
9. How players traded at the deadline last season are doing this year?
10. Do the Blue Jays regret trading Rowdy Tellez given Richards struggles?
11. Should the team be concerned given the Wild Card standings and the AL East?
12. Players in the Jays system that could be used as trade bait
13. Dark horse trade candidates that the Blue Jays should go after (not making headlines)
14. Why it is good/bad that Guerrero Jr. turned down the Home Run Derby
15. Could Jordan Groshans be used for trades this deadline?
16. Predicting the next prospect pitcher to make their MLB Debut for the Jays
17. Would you consider trading Orelvis Martinez for the right piece/player?

What about a piece on the Jays being sellers at the TDL if this current swoon continues? Would Rogers allow that? 

Baltimore is only four back of the Jays after six straight wins. Looking like another potential year of missing the playoffs with this current team, even with the expanded wildcard. Why blow your remaining prospect pool to add to a team that doesn’t look like a serious WS contender? 

Should the Jays be sellers at the TDL to restock the farm and try again next year? What could they get for Teo and/or Gurriel Jr.? For Stripling? Or Phelps and Garcia? 

The MLB ready cupboards are pretty bare after Moreno and Martinez.

Or should they have faith that this team, which has played below .500 ball since April 30th, can follow in the footsteps of teams like Washington in 2019 and Atlanta last season to win it all?

Okay if I write on the updated FanGraphs pre-draft, live farm system ranking from the perspective of what the Jays should and shouldn’t do by the trade deadline?

While AL East peers Tampa, Boston and New York all have top ten farm systems, the Jays farm is now ranked 22nd, and that’s with Gabriel Moreno!  Former top prospects like Jordan Groshans, Adam Kloffenstein and Otto Lopez have regressed this year.

Hey Nick, good to go with the idea but we’d really like the top four within pretty quick succession if possible. Like no later by end of day tomorrow kind of thing. We can send them all night tomorrow
