Evening gang,

In total, JJ finished at roughly 1.5 million views and fifth in the MLB division. Well done everyone! An exciting month ahead, so let's keep cranking out content!


Some ideas:

1. Can Alek Manoah keep up the pace of play he is on?
2. Should the Jays change up their bench and call up a prospect? Who should be called up? DFA'd?
3. How the Jays should line up for the doubleheader on Monday
4. One prospect you wish the Jays did not trade at the deadline
5. Best free agent offsigning from this past offseason (Garcia, Gausman, Kikuchi, etc)
6. Which player should the Jays sign to an extension first. Guerrero? Bichette? Moreno? Manoah?

Can I write on one prospect we wish the Jays did not trade at the deadline?

Was thinking Nick Frasso (and Moises Brito) unless the group thinks it should be Jordan Groshans (who was blocked by Chapman, Bo and Orelvis Martinez, amongst others like the recently drafted Cade Doughty), Samad Taylor or Max Castillo?

Because we have extensive licenses with Imagn and Getty, you either have to find one there or upload a photo you took (and own). We’re unfortunately tied by our licenses and copyright in that regard.

I have no idea how to get Getty or Imagn images and there are no current photos of Nick Frasso showing up on Wordpress . Any chance you could find one of Nick Frasso to art as a featured image for my article?

The site is currently bumping, most likely because of the holiday. This will likely spill over into tomorrow, especially with the doubleheader today and depending on how the Blue Jays do against Baltimore.

If you want some views and have free time today, I highly suggest submitting something in the schedule. 

Here are some ideas if you need.

Is it cool if I write about how the Blue Jays rotation is well equipped for a potential wild card series? I was going to write about the team's troublesome fifth spot in the rotation this year, but I see you've already written a piece on that topic Tyson. I could have this done by tmrw night!

I think that could work Graeme, especially with Moreno being added to the big league roster. We can enjoy the three-catcher luxury while it lasts, but someone's gotta be moved this winter.

Evening All,

A few things to go through that the FanSided bosses would like us to remind everyone about:

1. Don't forget about the headlines at the bottom of your articles. There are three different sections (Featured, Popular, and Short) that contributors are supposed to fill out before submitting articles. Chris and I can always edit these before publishing but if you have specific titles in mind, it is best to edit these yourselves. When you save your draft, these sections will automatically fill but there are character limits, so they can get cut off. Just please remember before submitting (as it is part of the checklist prior to submitting) to take a quick look otherwise Chris and I will fill these out accordingly. 

2. Please do not forget to add your hyperlinks. These are especially important when you are referencing a quote or an article you are taking ideas or information from, as it is important to reference for proper credit. For players being referenced in your article, you do not need to add hyperlinks to every player, especially if you do not mention any stats. Just add the links for players you find important to the article you are writing or any players you mention specific stats about. With hyperlinks, you want to add no more than 10 , as this impacts your SEO and rankings on google.

Another point I will add to this is that when you add a hyperlink, you will also want to utilize the following steps to ensure the hyperlink opens in a new tab:
A) Right-click on the hyperlink
B) Click on the little edit button (which looks like a pencil) and then on the small gear, opening a small table
C) Ensure that the box titled "Open link in new tab" is checked off. 

Chris and I also check for this during editing but these help readers look up the links without leaving your articles, helping with SEO and view counts for everyone.

7. One pitcher you wish the Blue Jays traded for at the deadline to take the fifth rotation spot. Quintana? Castillo?
8. Compare Alek Manoah's sophomore campaign to other previous pitchers' second seasons. Where does he stand?
9. Who will benefit the most from the upcoming rule changes next year (recommended for those who are heavily involved in stats-based information)
10. Who would be the best opponent for the Jays to face in the playoffs and why?
11. Vancouver Canadians are heading to playoffs. Anybody want to cover how they did it? Impactful players?
12. FanGraph odds for the Blue Jays and making the playoffs. Is there a magic number? 
13. Does Yusei Kikuchi crack the playoff roster?
14. Jose Berrios and his previous month. Has he improved? More consistent?

Can I write about how Kevin Gausman is getting torched on the shift? Not only is he giving up singles, but he’s also giving up doubles galore (26) as well as triples (four). No pitcher in the majors with at least 200 batters faced on infield shift ball-in-play outcomes has allowed a higher batting average on those plays. He’s at .391. Patrick Corbin is a distant second at .359.
