jangouts installation

Hi
I'm trying to install jangouts, but without success,
I installed JANUS successfully and I can run the demos, but
when I try to install jangouts, the main screen is working but there is not any room available.

Is there somewhere some instruction on how to install properly on ubuntu 16.04 ?

Hi Paolo.

Did you configure Janus to have rooms?

All that configuration goes to Janus server as I can remember.. but honestly I don’t find any documentation either.

Looks like some people have created Docker containers for Jangouts. Although I have  not tested them and I don't even know which one works better (or works at all), they could be an easy way of installing everything or getting configuration tips:

Other than that, I know that most people that have installed it or created the containers above have used the instructions available at https://github.com/jangouts/jangouts

If you want to ask more concrete questions about the point in which you are stuck, I would recomend Jangouts google group or IRC channel (both linked from our Github page).

Finally with the help of one of my colleagues Alessio Ciregia we did the installation one of the key configuration is that
in config.json we had to change the defaults to:
{
  "janusServer": "http://janus.our.domain:8088/janus",
  "janusServerSSL": "https://janus.our.domain:8089/janus",
  "janusDebug": true,
  "httpsAvailable": true,
  "httpsUrl": null,
  "videoThumbnails": true,
  "joinUnmutedLimit": 3
}
