sent to me from concerned resident.. poaching all over the bay lately . Canarsie pier and Addabbo bridge are the worst

Also saw men with seining nets by the bridge and near the Athletic Fields.

What do they do with the fish?

Hi Sharon... They eat them, sell them, who knows. The problem is the huge amount they take. We need to have more controls on this and enforcement.

Is it under provisioned enforcement or increased demand or dismantled trade regulation?

increased 'take' - not necessarily demand. All needs to be addressed under a bay-wide management plan...   Don
