How to forbid refreshing page when doing column search?

Hello,

On a Jam v7 application - like the demo app - the user can click on the magnification icon that appears over a column header to do a search like in the picture

The problem is that if the user - while typing the text - presses the ENTER key, the whole application refreshes and loses the view.

How it is possible to prevent this?
