An excellent job from our colleague Rob for the dissemination and knowledge of our dear JAL.

Hi Mario,

Thanks for the credits but this is only possible because of all people that contributed to JAL.

I hope that people start buidling this board themselves.

Kind regards,

Rob

Good work! I am impressed with your work. When will this be mainstream in the microcontroller community?

I will be watching the developments.

greetings Ingo

Hi Ingo,

It would help if JAL would be known and usable by more people. For that reason I post my projects on Instructables and post videos of libraries on Youtube.

I know Arduino is much more popular because of the availability of a good development environment (board + IDE) on multiple platforms (Windows, Linux, Mac) and next to that a huge amount of libraries for all kind of devices.

The only disadvantage that I know from Arduino is that there does not seem to be a standard and 'quality check' (like a style guide) on the libraries created. Because of that all libraries seem to look different. Sometimes I encounter examples of code that cannot work at all. But still I have a look at those when I create my own libraries.

So if you have any suggestions for promoting JAL that would be welcome.

Kind regards,

Rob

Ingo, if you consider "mainstream" something which "was and still is" in the last 18 years, then JAL is already a mainstream (not the airline..:))
It does not need anything else. :)
However I think it will never be similar with Arduino, JAL it is something different which involves deeper access to the microcontroller resource than Arduino IDE.
thank you,
