Any thoughts on supporting ToolProvider?

The Bach build tool[1] makes use of ToolProvider[2] instances to customize builds.
Has the team considered building a binary that provides integration with JaCoCo in this way?

good to hear from you!

I quickly checked: They use java.util.spi.ToolProvider from Java 9.

We haven’t considered this, as JaCoCo is compatible with Java 5 runtime. We might move to Java 8 some day, but not to a later version.

Hi Marc,

Oh yeah, I've got the wrong interface. You found the correct one :P

Indeed, a ToolProvider requires JDK9 as a minimum. I understand if JaCoCo does not provide such implementation for the time being.
I guess I'll go ahead and build my own and post it :-)
