Does Jacoco support incremental code coverage scanning? I've found that incremental code coverage scanning is a requirement when a project is large.

Hi,

what exactly do you mean with “incremental code coverage scanning”?

Some remarks:

  • Code coverage report generation is *very* fast even for *very* large projects.
  • Execution data from multiple test runs can be merged (e.g. from incremental test execution)

Regards,
-marc

That is, coverage detection for newly added code

In this case no. Have a look at tools like SonarQube that integrates code metric (like JaCoCo) with version history.
