[Collaboration Sprint] Greetings from Mercado Libre

My name is Giovanni and I currently work as a Technical Leader at Mercado Libre. I'm one of the people responsible for the Open Source initiative here.

I'm making this contact because I'd like to know the possibility of coordinating together a Collaboration Sprint between Mercado Livre developers and the jackson-databind repository since we've identified that it is widely used in our company's applications. The idea would be to formalize two weeks of collaboration (issue resolution or something related) between us in March 2022.

This sounds interesting!

What kind of collaboration are you thinking of? We are a fairly loosely structured project and things with tight time constraints could be challenging -- that is, there is no real guarantee that project contributors can spend more time at any specific point, as no one (AFAIK) is paid to work on Jackson on the project team side.

But at the same time we would be happy to help new contributors and knowing in advance that there will be more contributions can help everyone prepare to help as they can.
