Dear support team,

First of all, I would like to thank you for such amazing software. I am trying to model and simulate an assembly line to survey its throughput after a normal working shift. I have some issues with the modeling environment and its attributes. (jaamsim 2022-01 - win64).

1) When I run the program and after appearing the main window, it seems by maximizing/minimizing the mainframe, its ribbon location changes and goes down automatically. It is too inconvenient because other menus are affected by this. I would like to know, is there any way to fix all applicable windows on the mainframe?

2) As long as the software works without any change, everything is fine but, with add/del some objects that making to use some connection, related changes, etc, that maybe I forget it, the error window appears and the software is getting stuck till it is restarted. (for example from task manager!!!) . Is there any way to close the error window as easily as possible?

3) I need to assign an amount of disruption (based on the if-then statement, e.g. 95% OK and 5% Nok) on some servers to define the non-conformity items during the simulation process. I cannot find any related object and was wondering if, how can I do that?

Best regards
Abbas

Abbas,

Problem (1) is caused by clicking on the Maximize button. Click it again to set the window to its normal size. I will see if it is possible to disable this button for future releases.
Problem (2) may be related to the first problem. I have not been able to duplicate the behaviour you report.
Problem (3): You can use either the UniformDistribution or BooleanSelector objects to select a true/false (i.e. either 1 or 0) for the these probabilities. The User Manual provides an example (Factory Model)  in the Getting Started section that will show you how to do this.

Hi,
re Problem(2), i've found that having a resource that is not then used ion the model triggers and error windowbox and as per above, the only way to close it is by using the task manager and closing it down. i dont have an emaple to hand, but happy tos send it over when it appears again.

latest version used (01-22)

Abbas,

I think the problem is that Run Progress window is open below the Input Error window. Drag the Error window out of the way so that you can close the Run Progress window. The Input Error window will then respond to your mouse clicks.

The Run Progress window is supposed to close automatically but it seems like we have missed this situation. I will look into this further.

Abbas,

This turned out to be a deadlock that was introduced by the NumberOfThreads feature. It is fixed in release 2022-02.
