Hello,
currently i am trying to execute JaamSim2018-03.jar headless with a python script but it doesnt creates .rep- files as it should.
I also tried -b (batch) which works fine. Perhaps there is an issue with headless mode again? With previous versions of JaamSim my code worked fine.
Maybe you have some advice for me. I have attached my code.

Greetings from Germany,
Martin

Martin,

I have just checked this myself and found that we broke headless mode (again) in release 2018-02. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. It will be fixed in the next release (2018-04) which should appear in about one week. In the meantime, you can download the last working jar file (2018-01) from GitHub.

To avoid breaking headless mode again, I've added a simple test that we can run before making each release.

Hello!
I'm trying to run a model from a Jupyter Notebook with the method. It doesn't rise any error, but the ExpressionLogger I expect to get from my model doesn't show up. Any advice?
Regards,
Arnaldo

Arnaldo,

Is your problem related in any way to the one from Martin back in 2018? If so, please clarify. If not, please re-post on a new thread and provide MUCH more information.

The log file is probably somewhere on your computer in different folder.

An ExpressionLogger writes its log file to the directory that contained the configuration file unless it is reset by the 'ReportDirectory' keyword for Simulation. If JaamSim cannot find the configuration file, it will look in the default folder which is the last folder from which you loaded a configuration file.

Hi Harry,

Yes, it is. I'm using the same code Martin shared and that's why I post in this thread.
The code doesn't rise any errors but my concern is the ExpressionLogger my model normally generates. It doesn't show up in its directory.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Arnaldo
