Hello everyone!

So I'm new to this deep learning world.

I'm doing my master thesis with cleaner wrasse, and want to track and classify interactions between the cleaner fish and the client fish.

I've used DeepLabCut to track the fishes.

I've been trying to see if it was possible to use the DLC data into JAABA. I see that it only accepts flies, mice and larvae. Is there anyway to use fish in JAABA?

Other thing is that DLC gives CSV, Pickle and H5 files. Is it possible to convert any of DLC files to files that JAABA accepts. I notices that it is required trx.mat files.

Sorry if I wan't clear in some aspect.

Thank you for your time,
Raúl

Hi,

There is currently no direct way to input DLC data in JAABA. You'll have to convert the DLC output data into the tracks file format (https://jaaba.sourceforge.net/DataFormatting.html#TracksFileStructure).

The animal type in JAABA does not refer to the actual animal but the kind of per-frame features that get computed. For most purposes, selecting fly will be a good start.
