The sheet bags are disintegrating on ARAGORN, but they did last 25 years.....

Does anyone have a good source for similar bags?

Thank You... Dick York.

I had a set of 5 bags made for Hamburg II by Emmett Dickheiser/UK Sailmakers in Mamaroneck. That was a VERY long time ago (2005) when he (and H2) were still on Galveston Bay/Houston. But I can attest to the fact that they are still good as new today and will be for a long time to come. I have two bags that attach to the hand rails on each side of the cabin top using webbing straps and three that attached to the cockpit sides using snaps. I do remove them when the boat is put away. He even made them color matched to my boats primary color.

May not be the cheapest way to get this done – and I have no idea if he still does this kind of work – but it’s good stuff!

PS: I don’t have a really good picture of the bags. The attached pic shows one of the halyard bags. They have a stiff (but flexible) backing and a mesh front with a heavy duty shock cord to keep things inside the bag.  A

Can the group’s leader please remove my name from this group, please?

We no longer have a J/42.  Wishing everyone on this threat the best!
