Watt & Sea has a G10 (?) “wedge” mounting available. Here’s a photo of the installation I did on a J/122. I bought two Watt & Sea “U” receptacles and had G10 (?) mounting points fabricated (port and starboard) to keep the receptacles roughly vertical (and upright fore/aft) when heeled.
Also note the rigging arrangement to raise/lower the unit. The unit’s electrical connection is on the port side of the transom (far left in the photo).

I drilled a hole in one side of the “U” and put a fast pin through both the “V” and the “U” it fit into. No problems with that minor change—the pin obviously kept the V (attached to the W&S unit) from working it’s way up and out of the receptacle.
If you zoom in, you might see the fast pin. Otherwise, I can look for a higher-res photo of the area.
Here’s a higher-res photo of the device at sea. This was from a solo transatlantic passage. You can see the fast pin “head” hiding on the far side of the mounting base. The whiter bits are the W&S V and U. The darker bits are the fabricated G10 base. You can also get a sense of how I had it rigged to lower—with pressure—the unit and to raise it back up. (Rather than relying solely on the rigging, I also used sail ties to hold it upright and to keep it from flopping back and forth in a seaway (the unit has a hinge that pivots port and stbd).
When I moved the unit from one side to the other, I also switched the block & tackle arrangement. I had padeyes mounted as attachment points.
(I also had to “field repair” an electrical problem on the way, so I just used a terminal block (shown starting to rust) and a bungee cord to keep it out of the water (more or less)). Not pretty, but it got me where I wanted to go.
Hope this helps…
