I got this parts book from the Yanmar dealer in New Rochelle, NY.

I noticed that some parts in this one have different numbers than the ones in the catalog that is available on the Resources page that seems applicable to engines assembled in Europe (marked with YEU after the model number).

Does anyone know about those differences?

Thanks

Nelson

Hi Nelson,

I'm not sure if there is a difference in part numbers between the standard and YEU engine builds, but I think your parts catalog should also go in the Resources section.  I do know that Yanmar has changed numbers for some parts over the years, so that could be another reason for the differences you're seeing.  I've found that http://toadmarinesupply.com/ is a good resource for looking up Yanmar parts by number, both old and new.  If you happen to look up a part by its old number, the website will show you the new number as well, which I think is a nice feature.

I've updated the Resources sections to include your catalog and also renamed the other catalog to identify it as the YEU version.

Thanks,
Jeff

Thanks Jeff

Pretty weird. I am changing the cooling water pump. The part # I had from the YEU catalog was not recognized by the dealer and he sent me the catalog I shared.

When I go to Toad Marine, it shows the YEU catalog part as the correct one and if I use the YUS catalog part it says it has been replaced and give a new number for a part that costs 3 x more than the YEU part… Definitely I have a lot to learn yet.

Cheers,

Nelson

I replaced the CWP, thermostat and related hoses in Sep 2019.  The part # for the CWP was 121000-42100, and I paid $92.20.

In fact, here is a screenshot of all the part # I used, including hoses/gaskets.
