All,
What good is an organization if it can’t tax its members.
To that end we are looking to put some money into the fleet coffers.
This money will be used to promote fleet prosperity via social events.
Uses include sponsoring a Keg for the ECCs as well as having a fleet winter party sometime in the early new year (please don’t let this hold you back from further supporting the ECCs; our fleet puts forth minimal effort to put that event on and the J24s are very gracious including us; so I’d doesn’t hurt the cause if we over-index in our generosity to that event)
Kristen Robinson is our fleet treasurer, organizer, enforcer, and all around great person.
Please Venmo her links below; if the link doesn’t work she is @Kristen-Robinson-67
In terms of amount; $40 a driver is good target; again all the money is is to support regattas and parties so your getting way more ROI than investing it in boring olds T-Bills and far less speculative than Crypto.
If you want to give more please give more; if you want to contribute less that’s fine too (especially if your a crew member, or someone that occasionally drives someone else’s boat no contribution is too small).
I’m comfortable in my assertion that I’m the cheapest boat owner and I’ll be paying the full $40.
In other news a few of us were at Lake George two weekends ago and if you weren’t there you missed out. If your lucky I’ll be motivated later today to do a proper write up but in case I don’t I will just say that I now understand why everyone says so many amazing things about the venue and the host club.
I did this on my phone so please assume I just mistyped something as opposed to having a 4th grade writing level
Hope to see everyone at ECCs
Jake
