J/22 Sailors:

Start 2025 off right by sailing in Severn Sailing Association's annual New Year's Day tradition, the Ice Bowl. The race starts from just off the SSA docks, goes up the Severn River to Round Bay, rounds St. Helena Island (either direction), and finishes back at SSA.   There will be refreshments at the club afterwards.  Notice of Race, Sailing Instructions, and registration can all be found here: 2025 ICE BOWL.  Free for SSA members, $28 for non-members. 

It is always a good time; I hope to see you there!

This is a fun race this Wednesday New Year's Day. It looks like it’s going to be nice weather. Hope to see everyone out there racing.

Hi everyone, 

Unfortunately,  SSA's Ice Bowl could not be sailed on New Year's Day due to excessive wind.  The good news is that we have rescheduled the race for March 8th.  See description below; Notice of Race, SIs, and registration link are here: 2025 ICE BOWL - Take Two!
The Ice Bowl is open to sailors in the ILCA 4, ILCA 6, ILCA 7, Lightning, J/22, J/24 and Soling Classes. Registration is free for SSA and ILCA-NA Members.. Entry Fee for Non Members is $28, payable through the online registration.
