Dear Itzi users and developer,
I'm thinking about to propose the adoption of itzi for a project which involve a medium size town in central Italy.
Due to the historical roads and buildings, the minimum resolution to be used for modeling the terrain elevation is 2 meters (but one meter is probably better).
I remember that I have read some papers where the Itzi software was used using DTM having a resolution of 5 meters.
Do you think that the software can also run at 1 or 2 meter resolution (assuming enough hardware is available)?
thank you very much

best regards

Hi Ivan,

We successfully used itzi with resolution down to 10cm (to reproduce physical experiments).
There should be no problem using it at 1m.
The only limitation would be the amount of RAM if your domain is large, and your patience.

Laurent
