Problems with Itksnap on Windows 11 and Ubuntu 20.04

Dear All,

I recently installed itksnap on my Windows 11 Laptop and as well on Ubuntu 20.04 but have been encountering the following errors:

1. Windows 11: I am unable to get the Segmentation Labels options on the screen when I try to perform the operation.

2. Ubuntu 20.04: It states that there is "error while loading shared libraries: libpng.so.O" but I already have that library installed on my PC.

These errors are for 3.8.0 version. I have attached the screenshots for both of the OS.

Not sure about the reason as to why I am encountering this error. My lab mate runs Windows 10 and it seems to work fine for him. Problem of getting it to work on Linux was also faced by him.

Looking forward to hearing back and hopefully getting a quick workaround this problem :).

libpng12 is not available for Ubuntu in the official repo for a long time. Are you sure you have libpng12 installed? You could list the libpng12.so.0 full path.

Install libpng12 from other unofficial repo could help, eg., ppa. 

Since itk-snap did not update for a long time, maybe you could try other software, for example 3D slicer, which is actively developed.

You could also try the nightly build with vtk9qt6, see https://sourceforge.net/projects/itk-snap/files/itk-snap/Nightly/. I believe this build will not using the old libpng12. Good luck.
