ITKsnap failed to start

Hello everyone,
I have been working with itksnap for a long time now and never had this problem before: When I clicked the icon on my desktop for opening the software this morning this popup appeared:


When i choose "show details" the popup changes to this:


I already tried deinstallation and reinstallation, but it didn't help. Anyone any idea on why this happens and what to do about it?

ITKsnap has started hanging whenever I try to open a segmentation image.  I had several ITKsnap windows open at once, when this started (not sure if that’s relevant).  I’m using the MacOS 64-bit version, on the latest operating system (10.15).  I assume there is a corrupted preference file somewhere, but removing the one in /Library/Preferences did not help.  Any ideas?

Hi Tom,

The preferences file is located in ~/Library/ApplicationSupport/itksnap.org/ITK-SNAP/

Hope removing the contents will fix everything

Please just delete the .xml file in the error message and you should be back up and running
