I'm dealing with a sort of bizarre bug in my iterm2 install.

I ssh to a remote server and run tmux. Inside of tmux, I build software with bazel.

I do this inside of a hotkey terminal window. For some strange reason, if I trigger the hotkey in this scenario, it kills the bazel process.
However, if I do the same thing when not using tmux, the bazel process is not killed.

I'm guessing that iterm2 has some tmux integration, and that hitting the hotkey tries to send some kind of signal to tmux, which is somehow getting passed through to bazel, which causes the bazel process to die.

So my question is: how to disable this flaky tmux integration so that this behavior stops. It's very annoying.

Thanks

To disable the tmux integration run tmux without the -CC argument.

If you’d like to get to the root cause please make a debug log and attach it to a new issue. To create a debug log see https://iterm2.com/debuglog and you can file a bug at https://iterm2.com/bugs
