Hi all,
I'm using iterm2 for a while and loving it.
I start to have a lot of profiles to access my servers.
I would like to organise the servers in the profile tab, but I can't figure how to do it.
As long as I use a profile, it gets to the end of the list and messes up my profile organisation.
Does anyone have an idea on how to achieve this ?
Thank you very much for your help.
Eric.

If you add tags to the profiles, the Profile pulldown menu will be organized by those tags.

Also, using tags allows me to mostly avoid the Profile pulldown menu. I use <command>O and start typing the a part of a hostname or tag name.

And I checked the "close this window after opening a profile" box, so the Profiles popup window goes away after I select the one I want.

You can create a hierarchy of tags, like “linux/frontend”. That will create a two-level hierarchy in the menus. It will also create a hierarchy in the profiles view if you open the tags pane. For example, here I have created tags for linux/frontend and linux/backend and selected the linux/frontend tag. Only the frontend profiles are shown:

Thx George and Kelly for your help.
Kelly, what do you mean by CMD+O, is that a shortcut I should have or did you create it somewhere ?

Thank you very much,

Eric.

I think it is a standard iTerm2 shortcut:
