Vim in iTerm2 no longer accepts shortcut key (ctrl-V) to paste ?

I don't know if this is an iTerm2 issue or a vim issue. But on my old macbook (running Ventura) I'm able to paste into a vim session (in insert mode) in an iterm2 window using a shortcut key like ctrl-V

On my new macmini (running Sequoia) attempting to paste with ctrl-V into vim just pastes "^V". However it does work if pasting into a bash prompt, and it works inside vim if I use the mouse for edit->paste (which also indicates the ^V shortcut)

Does pasting into vim under macos Sequoia require an extra iterm2 or vim setting?

UPDATE:  I've determined that this behavior does NOT happen in the stock terminal app for mac, only in iTerm2.  Also, if I delete the ctrl-V remapping, cmd-V DOES paste into vim.
There must be an iTerm2 setting somewhere to fix this?

UPDATE:  I reverted iTerm2 to the same older version as the old mac, 3.4.21 and the problem went away

I use CMD-V to paste.. since i wor with a lot of items that use CTRL characters (old serial interface program data files) . I like the fact I canb type ctrl characters into files with the ctrl key and paste with the CMD key..

I’m not sure why control-V would ever have pasted. Did you have a key. Mapping maybe?
