Job Title: Hadoop Administrator

Location: Orange, CT

Length: 6-12 Months

Client: Avangrid

 

Responsibilities:

• Hortonworks platform (HDP & HDF) administration                       
• Hortonworks security administration: Ranger, KNOX and Kerberos                    
• Hortonworks platform services monitoring, maintenance, optimization and issue resolving of HDFS, YARN, MapReduce, Hive, Spark, Sqoop, OOZIE, Zookeeper, SolR, Kafka           
• Create, maintain and operate data workflows                     
• Documentation of the solution design, configuration and operation processes
• Knowledge transfer to customer.                                                                                                

 

Requirements:

• 3+ years’ experience with Hortonworks distribution (HDP & HDF) installation and configuration
• 3+ years Document designs, configurations and operational processes.            
• 3+ years Authentication and security administration           
• 3+ years Exposure to product life cycle, source code management, build and test methodologies.               
• 3+ years Performance Tuning, Platform Configuration/Tuning, Load Balancing, Clustering                  
• Hadoop Admin Certification: Cloudera or Hortonworks.
• 1 + years Microsoft Azure HDInsight’s administration
