Unusual cable found

This USB(f) to coaxial power plug has me stymied. I just found it sitting on top of a stack of papers, from a recent car rally.
   I have no clue what it might be used with, nor where it might have come from.
   It is obviously not some hacked together cable, but this find is going to haunt me!

There are seldom devices with dead batteries here.... mostly just dead batteries everywhere, not connected to devices. 😵‍💫

This is a power cable. Kind of weird, but I bet the usage was for 5V power to a device.

I'm with Mihai on this.  Lots of MicroProcessor boards used to use a barrel connector to provide main power.  Generally this approach has been replaced by the USB-C connector commonly found on phones, radios, etc.  Won't be much use for this cable in the future.
