As I mentioned at the meeting: Rex Harper 9 Of QRPme) will be stopping at the park tomorrow, as part of his HUGE tour of displaying and operating the original TunaTin construction project, which was written up in the QST 50 years ago.
Several of the local QRP group should be there from before 10, until at least noon, on Saturday 4/4.
We will not be in one of the high priced pavilions, so look for a picnic table, with an antenna, and surrounded by a few OG's.
Head in via the main entrance, off East Lk Sammamish Road, and find a parking spot. Discovery Pass required, or, a day permit.

LATEST NEWS!
May 2026 will be the 50th Anniversary of the Tuna Tin 2 QRP transmitter
appearing on the cover of QST. That needs to be celebrated!!
In 2013, Ed Hare, W1RFI, came to Lobstercon and absolutely gobsmacked me
by presenting me with the original TT2 and a 'challenge' to take it on a
tour to take it to the masses.
HE thought that I was the best person he could think of to honor and
cherish the original TT2, or the "Ancient Sacred Relic" as HE dubbed it,
and complete the quest! I was humbled by his choice and proceeded to
take on the Quest.
I traveled the country with the 'Ancient Sacred Relic' and even took it
to the UK to let some of those die hard QRPers across the pond see and
hold it.
I pitched a second '50th Anniversary World Tour' to my contact at the
League and they gave me the thumbs up. I have taken it to Hamcon in
Burlington VT and just last weekend Ozarkcon in Branson MO. I am
visiting in Seattle WA and have a POTA event scheduled at Samammish
State Park. Other stops scheduled are Near-Fest in New Boston NH, FDIM at Dayton,
the New England Division Convention in Marlborough MA and the GQRP
convention at Telford UK and .
I hope to add other events as time and finances allow. In support of
that effort, I've added two items to my site: a 50th Anniversary TT2 Kit
and a donation link to support my efforts.
