For those of you who are watching Barry's progress, he is about done moving for a week.
If you are bored, you an wat h my slow progress.
I am stopped in Goldendale tonight, after a leisurely 5 hour drive.
Early tomorrow, I will head to NY assigned radio location on Oak Flats road, (all ofabout 15 miles away). There I will spend nearly the entire day, so I will shut off the 'dumb' tracker.
It is considered 'dumb' because it automatically sends out a signal at some time interval, even if the frequency is busy.
'Smart' trackers space the signals based upon your moving speed and when there is a clear frequency, so signals are not lost in the collisions.
Saturday night will be in The Dalles, Oregon.
I will be in motion about 5AM to get to my new radio position, then parked, by 10, and will be there in one placd until probably 7 to 8PM.
I will be relaying any rally messages, as needed, to and from start and finish locations.

Yes, at the moment, but at 8 I will be meeting up with our stage crew (about 30 people and about a dozen hams) for a briefing.
Then we head to Oak Flats Road where the county and land owners have given permission to close the road for the day, for all but a couple of hours of limited access in the early afternoon.
Some homeowners set up lawn chairs in their pastures, to watch the cars.
Entry list currently shows 85 competitors. The main street in Goldendale is blocked off, for viewing cars before, they start the day. The high school parking lot is the service area for the day, and competitors will return there at least twice during the day, for fuel, tires and any necessary repairs.
Look up Oregon Trail Rally.
