Knots noticed in the various meshes

Dear all,

I hope this finds you well. 

I have been observing these knots (closely spaced elements within a specific area) in all the meshes that I have been producing and cannot find a way around it. I am using the following mesh setting to mesh the volume under consideration. 

opt.radbound= 1;

opt.distbound= 0.5;

[node,element,face]= v2m(tpms,0.01,opt,3,'cgalsurf');

Can anyone please identify any tricks to get rid of these knots?

a workaround is to call meshresample() to remove a small portion (5%-10%) of the nodes, this will remove the clusters.
