ICG Systems Testing Report

Hello,

I am writing to share the Islandora Collaboration Group (ICG) Systems Testing Report with you. ICG testers evaluated the Islandora 8 and Archipelago open-source repository platforms in the spring of 2021; this report compiles their findings and recommendations. We have already shared this report with the Islandora Foundation Leadership Group and the leadership for Archipelago at METRO, as well as the full ICG membership.

Some Islandora 8-related issues had already begun to be addressed in the interim between the initial work and final draft of the report; others will require additional evaluation and work. Our hope in sharing this report is that this snapshot of user evaluations of the state of Islandora 8 can help to inform our discussions of the roles of the ICC and other Islandora leadership and community groups in defining and improving the Islandora platform and in strengthening the Islandora institutions and communities that create and sustain it.
