Hello all,

It’s been a while since the first meeting of the BC Islandora User Group, and past time for us to meet and talk again. BC ELN is proposing to host an informal meeting on March 10, at 1:00 PM.

For venues, we're tentatively planning on hosting at SFU on Burnaby Mountain (will update with more specifics or if the venue changes). Planning for a meeting about two hours long, with the option to go out for a drink afterward.

For reference, please see the notes from our June meeting.

Please respond to the list if you're coming! And post any agenda topics you'd like to propose here too.

Show and tell about what you’re doing with Islandora these days
Migration tips
New modules you’ve discovered/implemented/built
Planning a possible pre-Library Conference training session/hackfest in April

Update: I've booked room 3101 in the Bennett Library, 3rd floor, at SFU Burnaby. For those interested in a pint after the meeting, the Highland Pub is right nearby.

Cool! I'd like to see a demo of Metadata Extras.

I can demo Islandora Badges (which I expect to be in Core in the next release), the URL Redirector, Social Metatags -- anything people are interested in, really.

Thanks for the interest, everyone! Some updates on the meeting:

- Location: Bennett Library, room 7200 (7th floor, next to Special Collections) at SFU Burnaby Campus.

- Remote participants: We definitely want as many people to come in person as possible. But for those who can't make it, we will broadcast a live feed as well, using Bluejeans, a web-based videoconferencing tool. You'll need to download an extension, and the site offers precious little guidance and documentation, but you can get the extension and test your video here: https://bluejeans.com/111/

Will be in touch later this week with a link to the actual meeting.
