Hi,

I began teaching a introductory CS class using two languages (Python and OCaml).
This seems the perfect use case for pyodide and domical.

For the first weeks we used Pyzo and OCaml-Top separately which is great.

However I would have been really happy to test iodide in a real life situation,

Since the students' learning process is the most important here,
I would like to know when you intent to make a first beta release with reliable server storage.

Best,

Louis

Very cool Louis, that does indeed sound like a very nice use case! And thank you for your continued interest!

As you can imagine, we're working as rapidly as we are able towards a proper launch, but as is often the case with early stage software development projects (and I want to set realistic expectations that we are indeed still early stage), target dates can move around quite a bit.

That said: we are targeting an *alpha* release later this year; and though we haven't even officially put down any real targets, I suspect we'll try to launch an incrementally stabler and more feature-complete beta early next year.

Unfortunately, this time frame is probably a bit too slow for your students this term; my apologies for that. But hopefully we'll have something ready in time for your students next term. Please hang in there with us a little longer :-)

Thanks!
-Brendan
